Title: Great Book – Glad we had it
Review: We bought the Italy 2018 book for a trip back then and found great hotels, restaurants, attractions, etc. We have very fond memories. These books are jam-packed with information and photos. We purchased the Paris and France versions for a Christmas trip this year. I reviewed several travel books similar to this and this was by far the most usable and comprehensive. Worth every penny.

Review: I have purchased other DK Travel books. DK Travek books are my âgo toâ travel guide book. Extensive information about the country or city you plan to visit. In Clydeâs great information about the great sights to see, but also information on the public transportation systems (bus, train, metro). Maps as well.

It always helps me to prepare my trip although I also read a lot on the internet. Review: I have always wanted to learn about Paris and know about it in more detail (and as a reference to a fanfic I am doing) and this book does it all – from the beginning, it will tell you reasons why to love paris, a brief history, how to explore Paris( For 5 hours, 24 hours, 3 days and how to spend a year in paris) and getting to know the different sections of the city. (Called districts or Arrondissements) and what Paris can do for families, foodies, art lovers, film lovers, music lovers, nature lovers, history lovers and dance and opera lovers too. Then it goes into detail of each district (Ile Dr is Cute and Ile St-Louis, The Marais, Bastille and Oberkampf, Latin Quarter to name a few) – each section gives you a map of the area with numbered places of interest (such as Notre Dame), a detailed description of the place of interest, places to eat and sleep and even how’s to take a short or long walk around the area (a fun and unique opportunity to explore everything in one go). At the back, is places of interests beyond central Paris (i.e. Disneyland Paris) and a very handy and useful ‘need to know’ guide before going. Right at the back, in a mockery is a pull out, food out map of central paris, also a key to main icons, price guide and key to maps.Overall, a very exciting and useful book.
