3. Appearance:Real silk fits better in person than the fake one.
4. Fire: Real silk burns with smell like burning hair while exposed to the flame. Real silk won’t catch fire and it will stop burning when the flame is moved away. Fake silk can catch fire easily and burns with smell like burning plastic. But please be cautioned when applying this method.

Review: I have not washed the scarf as yet, but I must say that it is a lovely, vibrant red. It looks even better than pictured. If you want to use it as a neck tie, you can. You can also use it as a head scarf too! However, if you have long, thick hair and a head bigger than 7 and 1/8 inch, it might not work as a head scarf. I bought it to use as a headband because my hair is thin, fine, short, and smooth, so other kinds of head bands and not kind to my hair or scalp. This scarf seems like it would stay put even without clips as long as you were not being overly active or aren’t trying to sleep with it on. It is soft against the skin and comes in a thin cardboard envelope that’s closed with a ribbon. I have not worn it yet, but it is definitely a keeper and definitely should not be machine washed or tumble dried ever. It is delicate, lovely, and well-woven.
