Title: Just lovely
Review: The concept of a book-centric boutique hotel in the heart of Paris is irresistible to me. I wish it were real. Nothing really unexpected happens and everything expected does, and what else can one ask of a Christmas romance? Rebecca Raisin writes charming novels and this is yet another success. (There are a couple of references to her other books, but just in passing and not of any real relevance to the plot.)

If you have dreams of ever wanting to live in Paris this book is going to make you want to live there even more. This is a quick easy read that will have you wanting to travel, standing outside wishing for snowflakes to come sooner.This is a Christmas, feel good, midlife second change at happiness. Anais has just experienced a nasty divorce and ends up going to Paris and finds herself with a rundown hotel. Anais along with her spunky, sarcastic cousin begin to deal with renovations, and have run ins with irritating neighbors, and literary mysteries that start running all the way up to the holiday seasons. While the ladies are on a tight deadline to open the hotel in time for Christmas, will they get it done in time? Will the challenges of having a bar owner name Noah, across the street constantly complaining about the appearance and noise of the renovations be enough to drive Anais over the edge or will it put Anais into a frenzy with all the struggles of renovations and disgruntled neighbors.Anais and her cousin run into a variety of challenges, and mysterious discoveries throughout the renovations, Anais thinks about going to the lawyers and asking them but is fearful that her ex will want the hotel back. So, she quietly unravels the mysteries without notifying anymore.If you’re looking for opposites attract, playful banter, and if you love books about books (as much as I do, I make it a point to read every book I can find about books talking about books), then definitely give this one a go because it is full of mentions about books. Title: hallmarkish fun
Review: A Hallmarkish type story set in Paris leading up to Christmas. It’s definitely a fun read. Anise gets the raw end of a bad divorce, and the only thing to show for it is a run-down hotel her ex paid too much for. The only way to make money is to fix the hotel up and then sell it. On top of it, Anise needs to write her latest book. Throw into the mix a book snob neighbor who owns a bar and the realization the hotel might have an interesting secret. Add a touch of romance, and a fun story is created.I received an ARC copy of the book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Review: Christmas at the Little Paris Hotel is a heartwarming and uplifting festive romance, which kept me happily turning the pages. The likeable and relatable Anais receives a near-derelict hotel in Paris in her divorce settlement. When her plan of tidying it up and selling it fails, she decides to turn it from a rundown Paris hotel into a beautiful bookish boutique retreat. Planning on opening by Christmas and with her funds running out she defiantly does not need Noah, the grumpy American owner of the bar next door interfering. Anais then discovers a mysterious room which holds the key to a centuries old secret, involving a woman who chose love against the odds. Bella is looking forward to her first Christmas in Paris, complete with twinkling fairy lights all over the city and snowflakes falling. An enjoyable and engaging festive romantic comedy with a mystery to solve, which kept me hooked throughout. Perfect to curl up with by the fire on a cold winters evening, and escape to Paris for a Christmas to remember!
